The students performed this beautiful Limboo traditional dance style in Delhi, Chennai, Gangtok, Patna, Nepal and more over it was broadcasted in Local TV channels as well. This dance style has become very famous as they are promoting it by performing in different parts of our country. Sports like table tennis and other facilities are also available to entertain the students.Īt the end of the day, students performed the famous dance called Chabrubg Dance. Once in a year a free health check up is organized by the school management for the children. Uniforms, books, shoes and even mid day meals are provided to the children so that they can bring and educate more number of children. It was all the effort of only those 7 staffs to bring the school to this level and in the year 2012, it was awarded the “ Best Greenery Award”. Currently there are 68 students and 7 staffs. ![]() The school is mainly for Limboo children though children from other communities also come to study there. Som Busty Primary School was established in the year 1984. I spent a day with the children in the school and enjoyed their cultural dance show at the end. In search of a school, I visited a Primary school (Som Busty Primary School) at Dentam which is almost ten kilometers down the hill from Uttarey. But these difficulties cant stop them to be educated and most of the people there is highly educated and well established today. Children have to walk miles to go to a school daily through rough hilly roads. In remote mountains like Uttarey, number of schools are very limited and as a result, it’s not a very easy for children to achieve proper education.
